The winds of change find their way to my abode,
and as they come I am caught without shelter.
The upheaval of dust and debris swirls around me,
and I am lost in oblivion.
The debris in flight shimmer from an unknown light,
beautiful in their mystery.
Their shimmers suddenly congregate into discernible images and figures.
I strain to find meaning in this seemingly abstract mirage,
suddenly their meanings are clear as day to me.
My past, present and what seems to be the future swirl in front of me.
Images of what was come and go slowly, taking great care to details and actions.
The now is much faster, almost blurred to the point that perception is lost.
The unknown is spinning at an unfathomable pace,
only slight figures are able to be recognized.
I hesitate for a moment, which do I study hardest?
Which of these is the most important?
And just as quickly as the images had congregated, they are lost again,
returning to only shimmers
The winds of change have moved on and yet I seem unaffected.
When will its next visit be?
And will I again hesitate to find the image most worth looking into?
The sun's rays hit me full on once more.
I feel stirred in my stomach, but at last my mind is at peace
Tomorrow I will move on with my new found knowledge,
to help or to hurt,
only the future knows.
And the future is uncertain
