and I find a spot in the shade to sit.

To find my joy and the ability to be content throughout it all.

Even this serenity feels empty.
I long for the friend to talk to,
I long to listen to their day, their life,
to just flow in the conversation.

As the couples, friends, dreamers, stroll by,
I can only hope for a small snippet of those conversations.
Even the game being played in front of me exposes the past and my time with you.
